Safe Play Initiative exists to warn people about the online betting and gambling apps spreading across Pakistan and the wider region, and to explain how they work before they take someone’s money.
These apps market themselves as games or “real earning” platforms. Behind the bright screens and free bonuses, they are unlicensed casinos built to addict players and drain their savings. They are illegal under Pakistani law, they harvest personal data, and they have pushed families into debt. Most of the information online about them is published by the operators themselves or by people paid to promote them. We exist to put honest information in front of the people who need it.
What we do
We try to publish clear, research-based articles on how these apps operate, what the law actually says, how the addiction mechanics are designed, and how to recognize and avoid the trap. Everything we write is meant to be read, shared, and used by ordinary people, not industry insiders.
Who runs this
This site is run by an independent freelance activist who chooses to stay anonymous. The work matters more than the name behind it, and anonymity allows for honest writing about operators who would rather stay in the shadows. What you can count on is simple: the content here is researched, written in plain language, and published to help, not to profit.
